By default Microsoft Word comes with White Theme, so in this blog we will learn step by step process to Turn on dark mode in Ms Word.

These days normally everyone is spending their most of the time before screen be it mobile or laptop. The very common problem which occurs is the dryness of eyes and irritation. This not something which can not be ignored that’s why people are turning Night mode On or using dark mode in their mobile or laptop devices.

In this regard Microsoft has also introduced Dark Mode theme for their users. I will be showing you guys how to turn on Dark mode in MS Word.

  1. Open Ms Office

    Turn on dark mode in Ms Word

    Open Ms Office and navigate to File menu in top right corner as shown above.

  2. Navigate to Account option

    Turn on dark mode in Ms Word

    After clicking on File it will open different options, Navigate to Account and click on it.

  3. Navigate to Office theme

    Turn on dark mode in Ms Word

    Under accounts section it will show your accounts details, Navigate to Office theme option and click on drop down arrow, by default it shows white or use system settings

  4. Chose your desired theme – Dark

    There will be different options available chose your Theme (Dark grey) and its done. For me its not showing Black if it shows Black theme for you then you can try that as well.

Switch Mode under View Tab

By default Microsoft Word comes with White Theme, so in this blog we will learn step by step process to Turn on dark mode in Ms Word.

There might come few moments while editing where you want white screen then at that time you can switch the viewing mode to white by following simple step. Yes this is the simplest step –> Click on View tab –> Navigate to Switch Mode having Half moon sign –> Click on it and its done!
